Mrs. Sanchez has been teaching for 11 years, but also worked in the daycare setting for 5 years before becoming a teacher. She comes from a family of educators and a young age decided she was going to follow in the same path as her grandparents and parents. Mrs. Sanchez decided on a career as a special education teacher because at the time her own two children were in special education for a speech and language impairment and as their parent she felt like she needed to be knowledgeable in special education to advocate for her children. Mrs. Sanchez has two children, they are 18 and 15 years old. She has been married for 11 years. Mrs. Sanchez has lived in Albuquerque her whole life. Mrs. Sanchez enjoys going on vacation with her family, going to the movies, riding bikes, cooking , and baking.
Teaching is a passion of Mrs. Sanchez and she loves coming up with new ideas and ways to keep her students interested and engaged in learning. She loves seeing smiles on her students' faces and is inspired when she knows the students are learning. Education is the key to success and as a teacher Mrs. Sanchez believes that as a teacher; “We Inspire, We motivate, We care and most of all We teach”.
