Here is some important information regarding our School and the COVID-19 Notifications from NMPED
As of right now and as per PED and State Health Department requirements, we will be out of school for three weeks. The first day off will be March 16th and we are set to return April 6th. We will resume our normal 2019-2020 Calendar on April 6th. The PED has mentioned that we will not need to make these days up.
There will be no students or staff at school during this time. The only persons allowed at the school will be our business office and certain officials such as the custodial staff that will be doing a complete sanitation of the school
I will have a message sent home with enrichment websites and links where students can continue learning however, this is on a voluntary basis.
If parents or students are in need of free meals, contact Jessica Swann, our food service provider, and she will make arrangements to give you food packets every Monday. Her phone number is 505-453-2704.
If parents are in need of child care, they may contact Paulette at the Thomas Bell Community Center and make arrangements. The phone number is (505) 848-1332
During this time off, the governor of New Mexico is asking that we all practice general safety precautions. Wash hands frequently and use safe practices when you need to sneeze or cough. In addition, she is asking that we distance ourselves socially as much as possible. Stay away from large gatherings, theaters, etc.
If you need resources and information to help speak with your child here's a resource from the National Association of School Psychologists and School Nurses.
